The research team recently visited an area told to have once been an encampment for a wagon train, identified as 'The Seven Bois d'Arcs'. The specimen found here are huge trees, that have no doubt provided shade for many a traveler over the years !

Allen Station - Steam Engine Train Water Stop
The Allen Station train stop used by the Houston & Central Texas Railway Company for water replenishment on the steam engine trains, is in the midst of a very nice grove of Bois D'Arc trees.
Allen Station - Allen Heritage Park
The Allen Station Heritage Park property rests on a creek bank, and is bordered by a grove of Bois D'Arcs.
Walk of Honor - Farmers Branch, Texas
The Walk of Honor veterans memorial park in Farmers Branch, Texas provides home to several Bois D'Arc specimens. One flowering example can be seen under the rainbow, across the park grounds !
Webb Chapel Cemetery
The Webb Chapel Cemetery has a lone Bois d' Arc sentry standing guard, on one of the oldest cemeteries in the Farmers Branch, Texas area.
