The latest project underway at the Enloe Museum, involves a search of Delta County for the top five largest Bois d'Arc trees, that can be documented in the county. Clara Foster Slough Museum intern, Lane Duncan, is investigating leads and taking measurements of bois d'arc specimens, and hopes to determine the locations of the largest trees, and will record the entries and locations at the museum in Enloe. A ceremony will be planned to recognize the trees, sometime in the fall of 2014 and during a selected Enloe community event, yet to be determined.
